"Life isn't long enough to do all you could accomplish. And what a privilege even to be alive. In spite of all the pollutions and horrors, how beautiful this world is.
Supposing you only saw the stars once every year. Think what you would think. The wonder of it!"--Tasha Tudor

The Fairest Of Them All

I was outside earlier doing a few chores and when I came back inside I found Bridget glued to the TV set and sulking. She was watching Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina. When I took off my coat and went to put the kettle on she jumped off of the sofa, stomped into the kitchen and asked me why that dog has a fancy sparkly collar and the only 'bling' she has is a rabies tag and a microchip tag from the AKC. I told her to keep watching because that rhinestone collar doesn't keep that fancy poodle from being completely ignored on the deck of a ship. Being a Corgi, she often has a one track mind and didn't care. "Je suis tres desole" I told her. She is inconsolable, however. And a brat. -CS ^..^

Aren't they though? I'm forever telling our two that brats they are indeed! They just give me the brown eyed stare, and raise an eyebrow, tilt a head, and grin....and I'm lost. Cuteness goes a long way in a corgi. The little brats!

I was a bit under the weather yesterday and took to bed right after I got home from work. I put the TV on TCM and I too got a good dose of Sabrina, too! Must have been just what the doctor ordered because today I am feeling better and will be off to work. Glad to hear that we were united in our movie watching - or at least Bridget and I were. Miss you!

I sometimes feel like a fancy collar would be wasted on a corgi anyways- it would get hidden in their thick neck fur!

I agree with Dances with Corgi's. You can't hardly see my girls orange blaze collar I got them for Hunting Season! lol. But they look beautiful in anything don't they?

We currently have at least 6 inches of snow here in Almost Heaven West Virginia and it is still snowing. The kids have only been to school two days in two weeks! Help!!!!

Hugs,
Angela

Sabrina is one of my all time favorite movies. And my little niece is named Sabrina after it. I never noticed that the Poodle gets ignored at the end. Hmmmm. That's no good.

BTW, I saw these photos on one of my friend's blogs and thought you might like them...
