"Miracle On The Hudson"
If you haven't heard, US Airways Flight 1549 went down into the Hudson River in New York City near the USS Intrepid. All of the boats and ferries in the area immediately responded. There is speculation as to why the engines went out, flocks of birds perhaps. But who cares? Every single person, including a baby, were miraculously rescued! The pilot, Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger a 30 + year pilot and fighter pilot in the US Airforce, and his crew are heroes. Because of the skill of the pilot, he was able to bring the plane down along the surface of the water without hitting any boats or barges or anything. Passengers from the plane are telling news crews that they saw fire and flames coming from the engines. The pilot told them to 'brace themselves for a hard landing.' When everyone was out, the pilot walked the plane twice to make sure that all of his passengers were out. 155 people. No serious injuries. No fatalities. A miracle, indeed! -CS ^..^

Thank God for that pilot and thank the US Air Force for his awesome training. God Bless him and God Bless America.
A true miracle.

my husband told me about this; he said he thought he heard it was a flock of geese, but who knows? what I do know is the Lord's hand was all over that plane bringing all to safety! thank you Lord!

I heard about it too, on tonight's news, and both my son and I started Praising God... How awesome!
I'm leaving on that same kind of plane on Saturday to fly from California to Florida... hope my heavenly "pilot" is with my earthly one!!! Linda (OC's Mom)
Saw this on CNN last night. Unbelievable!! That water looked mighty cold too. Praise God everyone was safe.
Isn't it wonderful so see a tragedy with a happy ending for a change. This story has dominated our news bulletins here in Britain since it occurred. Well done to all the rescuers who were in action so quickly and of course the amazing pilot who, although trained for all eventualities, will never have envisaged having to handle such an accident. A miracle indeed.
That pilot was well seasoned, and knew what to do, along with the crew. God was with them.
Very, very lucky day for them all.
All I can say is "Praise God"!
I believe that God answered the prayers of someone who had prayed for a family member aboard that plane! I know I always pray when my husband has to go out of town. The day before Sept. 11, my husband flew to Houston. And he flew to Denver and Houston a week before the last plane that crashed a couple of weeks ago. I have to keep myself busy when he flies until I hear that he arrived safe and them I
"Praise the Lord"

It was just incredible that the skilled pilot and his crew were able to keep so many folks safe in such an unfortunate accident. Also, it was so wonderful that the other rescue personnel reached the plane so promptly. It was certainly a blessing.
Hope you've had a good weekend with your little poochies! Dana
I'm still in shock, and awe by this situation. Just more proof, that there is hope in everything, and miracles can still happen.
