Is it prideful to boast about a lovely Corgi you've bred? Oh well, here I am, guilty then. Anne Bowes just sent me this photo of "Leah," Heronsway Showboat. She is from the Darby x Bridget litter that we (myself, Mary Elizabeth and Anne) bred; and we all couldn't be happier about how she is growing up. Here she is under judge Mr. Houston Clark winning Best of Breed at the Southern Adirondack show in Ballston Spa, NY. Readers of this blog may remember her from her puppy pictures (you can see them all in if you scroll down through the 2007 archives, links to the left!) She is such a pretty, happy, give-you-lots-of-Corgi-kisses girl. Actually, the little pup in the middle of the banner at the top of this blog is Leah. I know that Leah and Anne will continue to be a great team in the show ring and beyond. Bridget and Darby are so proud! -CS ^..^
p.s. Do click here to read Anne's interview when she was honored as Herding Breeder Of The Year. When she talks about being a 'walking encyclopedia' of pedigrees, I can personally tell you that she is most assuredly that! We are thrilled to have had Anne share not only the best of her line when she entrusted Bridget to us, but also the knowledge that she so generously shares. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi has a wonderful friend in Anne Bowes.

Leah is so lovely!! Congrats on her win!
Wow! That's really exciting! She's a beauty.
First, I love the name Bridget, as that is my daughter's name--after her great grandmother who was straight from Ireland! Second, I'll bet you were just smiling ear to ear over that wonderful award she earned recently! Her puppy photo in the banner is just adorable--as is her "going home" picture with her new owner. You are so interesting--I'm clueless about Corgis. Then, to find someone who is such a Corgi artist to boot is just great! I'm also clueless about Spoonflower, but Congrats for your invite as that seems to be a very special honor! The Stone Rabbit wasn't jealous of the Bronze Rabbit---he knew it was too big for me to lug home. ;-) Have a great day! Dana
Congrats!! We've never been to a "real" dog show, even though Bryson's a finished champion (we got him after he "retired" at the ripe old age of 2!) Bet it's a great experience breeding and watching these little ones grow up into champs, you must be a proud mama! (p.s. Leah's facial marking is too cute!)
Hey there, thanks for your notes everyone! Ah, Dana...Spoonflower is in their 'Beta' stages at this writing. They are a new company and I encourage anyone who would like to try their hand at fabric designing to shoot them an email. I'm sure as soon as they get settled in they will be ready to include more artists and crafters in their fold...(get it...fabric, fold?...yeah, I should get some sleep. :) !!!) xo Cat ^..^
Oh, and one more thing? Bridget's name was chosen to honor her mother whose name is Irish. We love her name, too! xo -C ^..^
Brag, please! Your Pems are amazing, and even though I'm owned by 'the other Corgi', I can't resist the cute of Pems!
