Hey Cathy!

Your chickens are beautiful! Do the corgi's try to herd them? We don't have chickens but a neighbor up the road does. Every time we drive by with our corgi she looks like she wants to chase them around. I don't know what she would do if I were to turn her loose! I would never do that!

Hugs,
Angela

Hello ladies! Angela...I would not trust all of the Corgis around them. Two of them are dying to 'have them for dinner' and I mean that literally! The others are just content to poke around with them. Actually we have some very big hawks, owls and foxes (along with coyotes!) and some of our neighbors have lost their chickens to the wild animals. I only let mine completely out free when one of us is out with them or a Corgi watchdog (who doesn't want to eat them) is with them. Otherwise when they are outside I've been putting them in a very large covered ex-pen to keep out the predators during the day. They are locked up securely at dusk. But yes, sometimes they try to herd them. They do look pretty, don't they? Their new feathers just came in and they are so full and shiny. You should have seen them when they molted this Winter. They looked so sad. xo xo

Hope those chickens don't eat up your pretty flowers!!! We live back in the woods and the only trouble we've had was one missing hen - the neighbor's pit bull got it. So - now into the big dog run they go, unless I'm out to watch them!!!

Hi Jenny :) Happy to meet you. Yes, I've only got a couple of chickens. A couple of very spoiled chickens. But the fresh eggs are wonderful! xo xo Have a happy weekend. Cat
