"Life isn't long enough to do all you could accomplish. And what a privilege even to be alive. In spite of all the pollutions and horrors, how beautiful this world is.
Supposing you only saw the stars once every year. Think what you would think. The wonder of it!"--Tasha Tudor

Merry Hiss-mas??

OK now, before I get flames from anyone about this hissing kitty, please know that this is my son's best friend, Nick (appropriately named, is he not?) and Nick's much loved cat. I assure you, no animal was harmed in the making of this photo. Notice kitty's 'naughty' stocking in the background. Enough said. Maybe this is not the cute and cuddly outcome they expected when taking this photo, but I think there is some Christmas inspiration to be found behind the cat having a 'hissy-fit.' Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that Someone up there cares enough about us to love us even when we get a little 'hissy' and even when we are not at our best. Are you enjoying this Christmas season? I hope so. If you are stressed (you're not? all of your shopping must be done!) may I suggest taking a few moments throughout the day and try to remember the real meaning of Christmas. Have a cup of tea and give thanks that you live in the greatest country in the world; that you have a roof over your head and food on the table. Give thanks for the people and joys in your life (Corgis included!) Let's all remember to pray for all of our troops who are away from their own families right now in order to protect our precious freedoms and allow us to do silly things like write blogs, go to the mall, spend sunny days (and sometimes rainy ones!) at dog shows, take Santa photos with our pets, and sleep peacefully each night. God bless them. In the midst of the lights and the shopping and the baking and the decorating and the caroling, don't forget the Birthday Boy. Remember who this joyful celebration is for and I'll bet the things left to do on your 'list' just may transform from stress-filled chores into cheerful preparations. It all started with one very special Baby. Speaking of special babies, here is John with our Grandson, Liam. He is probably wondering if he will inherit Grandpa's whiskers. God bless us, everyone! -CS ^..^
