"Life isn't long enough to do all you could accomplish. And what a privilege even to be alive. In spite of all the pollutions and horrors, how beautiful this world is.
Supposing you only saw the stars once every year. Think what you would think. The wonder of it!"--Tasha Tudor

Night Baking

Last night during the Yankees/Phillies game I was asked (badgered? begged? nagged?) to make a pumpkin pie. So I did. No one even waited for it to cool and then wondered why it was steaming on their plates and the whipped cream was melting. Yes, I know the crust isn't so pretty. But in my defense it was 10:00 pm when it came out of the oven. No potpourri could ever make the house smell as good as the spices baking in the pie. I'm going to have a sliver now. If they saved any for me....

Happy Monday, and Happy November, everyone! xo -CS ^..^

Moments like this is what makes HOME a place worthy to live in. The scents, the warmth, the love.
So glad that it's all yours.
Having a couple corgis in the house make it even better! Go Yanks!

It looks yummy. Believe it or not I just had a small piece - one from Kroger. Doesn't look as good as yours though.

Thanks, everyone! It was not bad. Didn't last too long though :) I just deleted an obscene comment. If only these sad people would use their powers for good instead of evil...

I've had a can of Libby's pumpkin setting on my counter for over a week waiting to be turned into a yummy pumpkin pie - one of my favorites!

It doesn't matter what it looks like; just so it tastes delicious!

I must apologize. For some reason every time I logged into your blog it put me at Sept. 25 or 29. I was going into a depression waiting for you to update your blog and I even wrote to you to voice my complaint. Here I have been missing out on your beautiful blog all of this time!
So sorry Cat! I won't complain any more! :-)
I do love your blog! You do such a great job with it and your creativity shines through!
